Starting off 2020 – a new year and decade – we wanted to kick off our community conversations with the next generation of leaders. Our Monday host, Libby Ballengee speaks with Sammy Caruso, a local high school student, activist and the newly elected / youngest Ohio delegate to the Democratic National Convention. (Libby got elected as a delegate too!) They share their mutual excitement, and discuss how Sammy became a student activist and leader.

In his own words: My name is Sammy Caruso and I’m a senior at Oakwood High School. I began getting involved in local activism with the March for Our Lives Movement. Last year, I gave a TEDx Talk discussing the importance of getting involved and making a different in politics. Recently I was just elected as a delegate for Bernie Sanders. I’m still undecided on colleges but #GoFlyers.
