To celebrate Earth Day, the Gem City Podcast is finding out more about recycling in Montgomery County, how it works and how we can recycle the right way. Is our stuff really getting recycled? What if it looks like they are throwing everything in the same truck? (We learn about split trucks!) What am I allowed to recycle? (Those numbers on plastic containers get awfully confusing!).
Our host Libby Ballengee finds out the ins and outs of how to reduce, reuse and recycle with County Commissioner Judy Dodge and John Woodman, the Community Program Specialist for the Montgomery County Environmental Services. We appreciate their time and expertise in describing to Libby how to recycle right.
We at Gem City Podcast sincerely hope you take this information and the responsibility of environmental stewardship to heart! Please do your part to reduce your overall consumption, reuse as much as you can, and recycle the rest! Thank you so much, and Happy Earth day!
