The day after both the 2017 and 2018 Women’s Marches, host Libby Ballengee wondered “Where do we go from here?” She interviewed Dayton residents and activists Joy Schwab (from Dayton Women’s Rights Alliance) and Melissa Rodriguez (from Dayton Indivisible for All), to discuss what’s next for the women’s movement – and what men and women alike – can do to make a difference!

The Dayton Women’s Rights Alliance is a feminist organization whose members learn from each other, support each other, and work to promote and protect the rights of women of all classes, races, and cultures. We seek to foster education and activism on issues including workplace equality, reproductive rights and safety from gender based violence. We work with community organizations challenging sexism, racism, homophobia, ageism, classism, poverty and other manifestations of injustice.

Dayton Indivisible for All (DIFA) seeks to mobilize the Greater Dayton community to promote an inclusive agenda and protect the rights of all people living in the U.S., citizens and non-citizens alike. We will resist intolerance, racism, and authoritarianism through peaceful and powerful means.

We will consistently and actively engage with our elected

officials and hold them accountable for their actions.

We will collaborate with and support like-minded organizations

in order to amplify our collective impact.

We will build opportunities for increased civic engagement

and participation in our political system.

Both groups encourage you to: BE INFORMED – BE HEARD – BE ACTIVE – NOW MORE THAN EVER

Call your elected representatives & tell them how you feel:
