Scott Epic and Mark DaGrossa sit down with a couple people involved in the professional soccer team Dayton Dynamo.
The Dayton Dynamo play in the National Premier Soccer League, in the fourth tier of the American soccer pyramid. Beginning play in the May of 2016, they are igniting the rich soccer tradition here in Dayton once again, by assuming an Iconic name from a professional indoor team that last played a game in Dayton 20 years ago. They are excited & honored to revitalize the Dayton soccer community! The team was formerly known as the Cincinnati Saints.
The Dayton Dynamo aim to bring the highest level of soccer to the Miami Valley. Using a grassroots model, the Dynamo will be active participants in the Dayton community. Look for our street teams at many Dayton area events — such as youth tournaments and local festivals — and at locations around town — like college campuses and area businesses. The club will look to bring attractive events to downtown Dayton, like World Cup Watch Parties and an open futsal tournament for fans and local players to get involved. And the groundwork has already been laid for the establishment of a Dayton Dynamo supporters group to help bring the raucous atmosphere to every home match.
